In the charming town of Lawrenceville, Georgia, a star was born – Rachel Farley. With a voice that seemed to have an old soul and an enthusiasm that was palpable, Rachel quickly made her mark on the music scene. Her passion for performance was evident from her earliest days. “I hate to sound cliché, but I came into the world singing,” she often mused. By the tender age of 3, she was already dreaming of being the next Shirley Temple.
Rachel’s initiation into the world of professional performance began in community theaters around Lawrenceville when she was just 11 years old. However, her true calling revealed itself when she embraced the world of songwriting, having picked up a guitar. Just a year later, she was captivating audiences at a coffeehouse just outside Atlanta.
As she grew, so did her presence on the stage. After over 300 live shows, and having the honor of sharing stages with country legends like Luke Bryan and Brantley Gilbert, Rachel’s fervor for live performances only intensified. “There’s just nothing that compares to performing live,” she shared with the same excitement that sparkled in her eyes when she began her journey. The sight of her fans, singing along to the lyrics she penned, was the most rewarding part of her journey.
Her unique sound is a testament to her wide range of influences. From iconic country figures such as Jamey Johnson, Miranda Lambert, and the legendary Patsy Cline, to the electrifying vibes of rockers like Joan Jett and the Guns and Roses crew, Rachel’s music is a melange of the contemporary and the classic. She puts it succinctly, “I hate to put my music in a box. The songs I play are definitely country, but they’re different from what’s currently on the charts.”
Rachel’s commitment to authenticity and her diverse musical influences are evident in her songwriting. She collaborates regularly with renowned songwriters like Mike Dekle and Byron Hill, shaping a catalog of songs that resonates deeply with listeners. This portfolio is in preparation for her much-anticipated debut album with the Average Joe’s Entertainment label, which was slated to start its journey in late 2010.
